1.1           FlexiSchools is committed to protecting your privacy and developing technology that gives you the most powerful and safe online experience. This Privacy Statement applies to the FlexiSchools website and governs data collection and usage. By using the FlexiSchools website, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

1.2           This Privacy Statement, and any terms and definitions in it, should be read in conjunction with the Terms and Conditions (FlexiSchools) Agreement contained on the FlexiSchools website at www.flexischools.com.au and its subdomains, and is available in hardcopy on request. If any part of this Privacy Statement is inconsistent with any term set out in the Terms and Conditions (FlexiSchools), the terms of this Privacy Statement will prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.

2.              COLLECTION OF YOUR PERSONAL, INFORMATION

2.1           FlexiSchools collects personally identifiable information, such as your e-mail address, name, home or work address or telephone number. FlexiSchools also collects anonymous demographic information, which is not unique to you, such as your postcode, age, gender, preferences, interests and favourites.

2.2           There is also information about your computer hardware and software that is automatically collected by FlexiSchools. This information can include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring Web site addresses. This information is used by FlexiSchools for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the FlexiSchools Web site.

2.3           FlexiSchools encourages you to review the privacy statements of Web sites you choose to link to from FlexiSchools so that you can understand how those Web sites collect, use and share your information. FlexiSchools is not responsible for the privacy statements or other content on Web sites outside of the FlexiSchools and FlexiSchools family of Web sites.

3.               USE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

3.1           FlexiSchools collects and uses your personal information to operate the FlexiSchools Web site and deliver the services you have requested. Where the services you have requested are delivered by another party, FlexiSchools may provide your details to the other party to allow them to perform the services required.

3.2           FlexiSchools also uses your personally identifiable information to inform you of other products or services available from FlexiSchools and its affiliates. FlexiSchools may also contact you via surveys to conduct research about your opinion of current services or of potential new services that may be offered.

3.3           Credit card details entered into the FlexiSchools website by you are transmitted using 128 bit SSL encryption to FlexiSchools’ e-commerce gateway provider (Westpac), where they are held by that provider for the purpose of processing payments arising from your use of the FlexiSchools website.  Your credit card details are not recorded or stored by FlexiSchools and FlexiSchools will not provide your credit card details to any other third party.

3.4           FlexiSchools Web sites will disclose your personal information, without notice, only if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on FlexiSchools or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of FlexiSchools; and, (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of FlexiSchools, or the public.

4.               USE OF COOKIES

4.1           The FlexiSchools Web site uses "cookies" as part of the normal operation of the site and the Web site may not work if your browser has cookies disabled. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a Web page server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you, and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you.

4.2           You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. If you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able use the FlexiSchools services.

5.              Security of your Personal Information

5.1           FlexiSchools secures your personal information from unauthorised access, use or disclosure. FlexiSchools secures the personally identifiable information you provide on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment, protected from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. When personal information (such as a credit card number) is transmitted to other Web sites, it is protected through the use of the 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.

6.1           FlexiSchools will occasionally update this Privacy Statement to reflect school and community feedback. FlexiSchools encourages you to periodically review this Statement to be informed of how FlexiSchools is protecting your information.
