Important Update for Account Holders


A brief outline of the recent changes to the Flexischools Terms and Conditions of Use.

From 16th April 2016, Flexischools has opted to operate under the Australian Financial Services Licence number 471558 (AFSL) granted to us by the Australian Securities and Investment Commission. The change is driven by our desire to give you peace of mind that you are dealing with a licenced provider and schools peace of mind that they have partnered with the market leader.

 

As an AFSL holder, Flexischools is required to comply with a number of additional obligations including the provision of a Combined Financial Services Guide and Product Disclosure Statement (Combined FSG and PDS). The Combined FSG and PDS provides information that helps you make informed choices around the use of our services. We have made the Combined FSG and PDS available on the Flexischools website which you can access by Clicking Here. Alternatively, you may elect to receive the Combined FSG and PDS via email by sending an email to reply@flexischools.com.au.

 

Key Changes to Terms and Conditions of Use

In addition to issuing the Combined FSG and PDS, we have reviewed our Terms and Conditions of Use and the key changes are briefly outlined below:

  • We have removed a number of provisions from the Terms and Conditions of Use and have removed certain disclosures which are no longer required given we have now issued the Combined FSG and PDS;

  • We have amended the Terms and Conditions of Use to reflect the fact that Account Holder funds will be held on Trust and that Flexischools will be entitled to any interest on funds held on your behalf;

  • The Combined FSG and PDS now forms part of your agreement with Flexischools;

  • We have relocated and updated the provisions which relate to use of your personal information; and

  • We have updated references to Australian consumer legislation and the provisions to which those references relate (including liability provisions);

Given the scope of the amendments to the Terms and Conditions of Use, we encourage you to read the revised Terms and Conditions of Use in full before continuing use of the Flexischools solution. By using the Flexischools solution after the 16th April 2016, you agree to be bound by Flexischools' Terms and Conditions of Use.

Our first price change in over four years

Following a recent pricing review, we are changing the following fees;

 

Top Up Fees

We have overhauled the fees and charges associated with topping up your Flexischools account. There will no longer be a fixed fee for topping up your account. We have moved to a surcharge approach and will simply recover the cost we incur for accepting various payment methods.

  • Credit Card Surcharge
    If your preference is to use VISA or Mastercard to immediately increase the balance of your account or immediately pay for goods and services, this will incur a Credit Card Surcharge of 15c + 1% of the payment amount.

  • PayPal Surcharge
    If your preference is to use PayPal to immediately increase the balance of your account or immediately pay for goods and services, this will incur a PayPal Surcharge of 15c + 1% of the payment amount.

  • Electronic Funds Transfer (Bank Transfer)
    We continue to offer a fee-free way for you to increase the balance of your Flexischools account.

    When using this method, normal banking timeframes of 2-3 days will apply before funds become available for use. Also, don't forget to add your unique Reference Number to each transaction to ensure funds are credited directly to your Flexischools account without unnecessary delay.

Order/Service Fee Changes

The standard Order/Service Fee on online food orders will increase nationally by 4c to 29c per order.

 

Other Order/Service fees may apply on specific services, please refer to the Combined FSG and PDS for more detail.

 

All Order/Service fees will display in the order pad during the payment process. Details of all applicable fees are outlined in the Combined FSG and PDS which we would encourage you to read.

 

When will these changes apply

These changes will be effective from 16th April 2016.
